Summer adventure #1 about to begin 🤗. Beginner wheel throwing with my lil ladybug. Can’t wait!
Oh yes. This is 100% me, 100% of the time! 🤣
Going thru stash (and adding a little to it) to prepare for a new project in the works.
That baby blanket gave me the courage to try my first non-sock garment. I am determined to finish this quickly before it gets too hot. This morning it’s actually quite chilly so I have been wearing it like this for a bit! This Harvest cardigan is a free pattern by @tincanknits. It has been such an easy knit. I can’t wait to try more of their patterns. My wish list grows every day! I do believe I need to try one of their color work patterns 😍 They are all so beautiful!
Not craft but definitely “chick” related. A glimpse of our morning aerobic activity! 🥰. We added few babies to add to our flock this past weekend.
So I made this blanket as a gift. It is the first baby blanket I have knit (I’ve crocheted several in the past) and I’m in love❤️. It is so squishy soft and delicate! I learned so much in the process beyond the new to me lacy stitches, like how to use lifelines and how you can NEVER use too many stitch markers 🤪 I had to rip back more than a dozen rows (2x) in the beginning but once I found my groove I found this to be a very easy pattern. A definite confidence builder. Being a lefty knitter has its challenges; however rather than allowing myself to become frustrated and discouraged when I make a mistakes, I am taking the time to study stitch anatomy which has helped me learn how to fix my mistakes. I realize now that as a newbie knitter this skill is as important as learning to cast on. Blankets are bulky and a bit cumbersome (definitely not a project to work on in the car or doctors office) but this labor of love was especially satisfying. I’ve already cast on for another.
