Paper Pumpkin Sneak Peak – The Gift of Fall (August)

Exciting news!  Who needs an escape from the heat?  Stay indoors and start preparing for fall with your August Paper Pumpkin Kit – The Gift of Fall!! Watch the video below for a sneak peak and special announcement of what is to come:

To recap, the August kit, will:

  • Make 6 fall-themed gift bags
  • Make 12 fall-themed gift tags
  • Coordinate with the following colors from the SU! color collection – Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Old Olive, Pretty Peacock, and Soft Suede

Did you catch the exciting announcement in the video?  I think this is the first time there has been an add-on kit to provide options for those not interested in making non-card projects!  How great will it be to create beautiful gift packaging that also includes a matching card?  You can bet I’ll be getting an add-on!  I will wager that they will sell out fast.  Do not delay!  Remember only subscribers can purchase the add-on so you will want to be signed up (and activate) your Paper Pumpkin subscription before August 1st when the add-on is available to order so you can take advantage of this great offering.

The Gift of Fall Add-On Bundle will:

  • consists of 24 card bases in two different designs, sized 5″ x 3 1/2″
  • 24 coordinating envelopes
  • sell for $10 only to subscribers with an Active Paper Pumpkin account
  • be available only while supplies last and will ship separately from your regular monthly kit.

Important note: The Gift of Fall Add-On Bundle is not needed to complete the August kit projects.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that bakes and makes handmade gifts in the season of Thanksgiving to share with those they love and appreciate.  Wouldn’t these make the perfect packaging for such gifts – Teachers, coaches, and co-workers, as well as fall birthdays and hostess gifts?  In fact, this is probably the perfect month to tweak your account and bump your kit quantity from one to two or more just to be sure you will have enough to go around OR have an organized ladies night in to make up the projects and fellowship with your friends.  You will be feeling doubly blessed to have these projects on hand when you are ready to spread your gratitude this Thanksgiving Season.

Click HERE to subscribe, either monthly or with the prepaid plan and follow the directions to sign up.  If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

If you have more questions about Paper Pumpkin in general, read my Paper Pumpkin Page for more details or contact me.

Remember, the deadline to sign up for Paper Pumpkin and get the August kit is August 10th.  The add-on will be available for active subscribers beginning August 1st in my online store, while supplies last.

Above the Clouds Card

This stamp set was top on my wish list.  I love that it is bundled with a punch and when you purchase them together you can save 10% on the bundled price.  Punches are awesome!  Don’t you think so too?

Hot air balloons make me smile.  Have you ever been to a hot air balloon festival?  The glowing? Oh man!  There is something magical and majestic in them.  If you have not, you should put it on your bucket list!  Go to a good one.  We had one in Plano (North Dallas), Texas near where I grew up.  I haven’t been to one since but I still remember the awe I felt every time I see a balloon in the sky, or one stamped on paper 🙂

I have a video to share with you on this project which is a much more effective tool to show some tips and tricks I used to create my card.  I hope you enjoy it and be inspired to create your own.

Remember all the products used in this project can be purchased in my online store.  A list of products used can be found below as well as a printable project sheet.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy crafting!

2019-2020 Annual Catalog is here!!

Oh Wow!  I cannot believe its already June!  This year is just flying by so fast!  However, instead of dwelling over things I could have shared before but didn’t, let’s just dust ourselves off and pick up and try this again.  Today is the launch of the new Stamping’ Up annual catalog. I am really excited over the content of this catalog!  Mourning the retired products never lasts that long because I can’t help but be so inspired by the new stuff and I have to say that this years catalog has so much inspiration!  Honestly, I think I want to set a goal to recreate every bit of artwork.  Oh, that could get me into some serious trouble.  No way could I ever purchase every stamp set; however, maybe if we get creative we can use every idea in some form or fashion as inspiration for what we do have.  Hmmm, something to think about.

Meanwhile, I wanted to share this really fun video Stampin’ Up put together for us to share.  It’s really short but you will want to hop right up and get to crafting after you see this fun inspirational piece!

Isn’t that fun?  Let’s make this year the best stamping year yet.  I’m excited about setting new goals for myself and planning out projects and content.  My number one goal this year is consistency.  Not perfection. I miss out on so much when I get hung up on perfection.  That isn’t fun at all!!  Let’s get crafty and make pretty things 🙂

Paper Pumpkin, Tips, Video

Tackling Paper Pumpkin Organization

Today I wanted to share with you how I have been storing my Paper Pumpkin Stamp sets.  Those mini sets are great! But, what to do with them when you finish your kit?  There are so many great sentiments and images but it is easy to loose track of what you have and if you aren’t keeping track of them, if they are not organized, then you probably aren’t using them!

I decided I wanted something that could sit on my stamp shelf and had easy access for me to be able to thumb through and quickly glance at the stamps to see which I want to use.  I have prepared a video tutorial to show you how to make my stamp file box.  It only uses a few products and holds one years worth of Paper Pumpkin Stamp Sets.

If you are new to my website, or Stampin’ Up! and don’t know what I am talking about when I refer to Paper Pumpkin?? then you should definitely go read learn more about this fabulous monthly subscription kit HERE!

Another use for this box would be to organize and store your handmade cards!  Keep those beautiful creations safely stored until they are ready to be signed and sent away!  All of the products used in this project can be purchased from my online shop.

Additional Tip:  Of all the months I have been a member of the Paper Pumpkin Club there has only been one stamp set (Manly Moments, May 2018) which was too long to fit inside the clear envelope.  My solution was to cut the stamp set in half, acetate sheets and all, and put one half on one side of the whisper white cardstock and the other half on the back side.  It works just fine!  I forgot to point this out in my video.  Sorry!

Thanks for watching today.  Let me know if you make your own and share with me how you chose to decorate yours.  I kept my simple but I know some of you will really make yours spectacular and I would love to see them!  Share your photos with me on facebook.

Have a blessed day and happy stampin’!
